REQUIRED MATERIALS
Botany Bylon, 1-oz. Skeins - 7 (8, 9, 10) sks. Sky Blue 10" Afghan Hook No. 5, Steel Crochet Hook No. 0
NOTE(s)This blouse for a lady can be crocheted in sizes 32, 34, 36, and 38. The instructions in this pattern are for size 32. Changes for sizes 34, 36, and 38 are in parentheses. Gauge: 13 sts = 2"; 14 rows = 3".

INSTRUCTIONS
Crochet a Blouse - Back: With No. 5 hook, loosely chain 96 (104, 112, 118).
Row 1: Insert hook in 2nd ch from hook and draw up a lp. Draw up a lp in each ch across retaining all lps on hook. ** Yarn over hook and thru 1 lp, * yarn over hook and thru 2 lps, repeat from * across until 1 lp remains. The last lp on hook counts as 1st st of next row **.
Row 2: * Skip 1 vertical bar, insert hook under next bar and draw up a lp, draw up a lp in skipped bar, repeat from * across, ending by drawing up a lp in last st; work off all sts as between **'s of row 1.
Row 3: Yam in front of hook, insert hook under next bar and draw up a lp, * skip next bar, draw up a lp in next bar, draw up a lp in skipped bar, repeat from * across to within last 2 sts, yarn in front of hook, insert hook under next bar and draw up a lp, draw up a lp in last st; work off all sts as between **'s of row 1. Repeat rows 2 and 3 for pat. Work even until piece measures 6" from start.Inc. 1 st at beg. and end of next row and every 4th row 3 (3, 2, 2) more times. (To Inc. at beg. of row draw up a lp in space between 1st and 2nd bars; to inc. at end of row draw up a lp in space between last 2 bars.)
Work even on 104 (112, 118, 124) sts until piece measures 13 (13, 13 1/2, 14)" from start.
Crochet a Blouse - Sleeves: At beg. of next row, ch 5, draw up a lp in each ch, work in pat. across row. Attach another piece of yarn at end of row and ch 5, draw up a lp in each st of ch; work off sts as before. Inc. 1 st each end of every 4th row 6 times. Work even on 126 (134, 140, 146) sts until sleeve measures 7 (7 1/2, 8, 8 1/4)" from ch-5.
Crochet a Blouse - Shoulders: Sl st over first 23 (25, 26, 27) sts; work in pat. to within last 23 (25, 26, 27) sts, work back.
Next Row: Sl st over first 23 (24, 25, 26) sts, work to within last 23 (24, 25, 26) sts, work back. Sl st over remaining sts for back of neck.
Front of Crochet Blouse: Work same as for back until piece measures 11 (11 1/2, 12, 12 1/2)" from start.
Crochet a Blouse - Neck Shaping and Sleeves: Work across 52 (56, 59, 62) sts; work back. Working over sts of this side only, at neck edge dec. 1 st every 3rd row 3 times. (To Dec. 1 st—draw up a lp under 2 bars.) When piece measures 13 (13, 13 1/2, 14)" from start, at beg. of next row, ch 5 (sleeve). Draw-up a lp in each ch and complete row.
Now, dec. 1 st at neck edge every other row 14 (15, 16, 17) times, and At Same Time, at arm edge, inc. 1 st every 4th row 6 times. Work even on 46 (49, 51, 53) sts until sleeve measures 7 (7 1/2, 8, 8 1/4)".
Shoulder for Crocheted Blouse: At arm edge, sl st across first 23 (25, 26, 27) sts, complete row. Sl st across remaining sts. Tie in yarn at center front and work other side to correspond, reversing all shaping.
Crochet a Blouse - Collar:With No. 5 hook, ch 6. Work in pat. inc. 1 st each end of every row until there are 10 sts. Inc. 1 st each end of every other row until there are 18 sts. Work 3 rows even. Dec. 1 st at beg. of every row until 6 sts remain.
Work even on these 6 sts until band measures same as across back of neck. Inc. 1 st at beg. of every row until there are 18 sts. Work 3 rows even. Dec. 1 st each end of every other row until 10 sts remain. Dec. 1 st each end of every row until 6 sts remain.
Work 1 row even, sl st across all sts. With No. 0 hook, work 1 row sc around collar, working 3 sc in 1 st at points.
Crochet a Blouse - Finishing Details: Sew side and shoulder seams. With No. 0 hook, work 1 row sc around neck edge, sleeves and bottom of blouse. Sew collar in place.
